Family recipes, made from scratch in Columbia
We are a family-owned ramen restaurant on Grindstone Parkway in Columbia, Missouri. Every bowl starts with recipes we created for Ocha and prepare with the same care we would give a meal served to our own family. Our goal is simple: make flavorful, comforting food and give every guest a warm, straightforward dining experience.
Recipes built for this restaurant
Our owner came to Ocha with many years of experience running restaurants in St. Louis and Columbia. That experience shaped proprietary ramen recipes made exclusively for our kitchen, with careful attention to broth, noodles, proteins, vegetables, and toppings. These are not off-the-shelf recipes, they are bowls built to give Ocha its own flavor and identity.
Rooted in ramen tradition
Ramen is a craft with deep regional roots across Japan, and that tradition is the heart of what we do. We respect the comfort, balance, and layers of flavor that make a great bowl memorable while giving each recipe an Ocha identity. The Columbia Convention and Visitors Bureau recognizes us as a local ramen specialist, a distinction we are proud to carry.
A robot joins the team
In December 2022, we deployed a Bear Robotics server to help deliver bowls right to the table. The robot supports our team during service and adds a lighthearted touch to the dining room. Guests regularly mention it as a favorite part of their visit, and children especially enjoy watching it make its rounds.
Part of the Columbia community
We are grateful to serve our neighbors in south Columbia and guests from across the city. People visit us for weekday lunches, family dinners, takeout, delivery, catering, and a reliable bowl after a long day. We will keep finding practical ways to make Ocha worth the trip, from new specials and friendly service to the comforting recipes our regulars return for.
